  • After installation or refinishing, floors need time to fully cure. During this period, avoid placing rugs or mats on the surface. Once cured, use only breathable rugs made from natural materials. Avoid rubber or plastic backings, as they can cause discoloration.
  • Dirt, grit, and moisture cause most hardwood floor damage. Use exterior mats at entrances, clean spills immediately, and vacuum regularly with a brush attachment. Avoid beater bars and cleaning tools that can scratch the finish.
  • Protect floors by using felt pads under furniture and never dragging heavy items. Trim pet nails, limit shoes indoors, and avoid hard casters or wheels that can damage the surface.
